Strengthening Capacities to Evaluate Nicaragua’s Sustainable and Inclusive Industrialization Policy

With the objective of advancing the implementation of Nicaragua’s Sustainable and Inclusive Industrialization Policy, a training workshop and transfer of best practices was conducted, focused on designing a monitoring and evaluation system. The activity brought together Chilean experts and Nicaraguan government officials in a space for technical and methodological exchange.

During the meeting, successful experiences applied in Chile were presented, including the logical framework matrix used by the Budget Directorate (DIPRES), the evaluation system of the Production Development Corporation (CORFO), and concrete cases of public program evaluations aimed at productive and sustainable development.
The workshop strengthened Nicaragua’s institutional capacities in monitoring industrial policies, providing key tools for the development of a methodological document that will serve as the foundation for establishing a national monitoring and evaluation system. This system will enable the measurement of progress, the identification of areas for improvement, and the assurance of effectiveness in productive programs across the country.
The initiative is part of broader regional cooperation efforts to promote inclusive, sustainable, and evidence-based development models. Knowledge exchange among countries offers an opportunity to adapt international best practices to the local context, contributing to stronger public management and the advancement of responsible industrialization.
